The Mac Mini is the little engine that could. This little computer while at first looks overpriced has some great potential. First I want to break it down by explain to you why the mac mini is worth $599.00. The Mac Os X with the new iLife09 is a great value that is worth the money, the software included will change the way you work, play and more. The hardware on the other hand lacks to be desired. I made the video below to show you how to get the best out of your Mac Mini by beefing up the Hard drive on the machine as well as maximize your ram.

Below are also links to where I got the hard drive and the memory. Remember that if you open the machine and take it upon yourself to upgrade it, you will void the warranty on the computer.

    Hello.
your video was very good and well made. I was looking at new Mini Macs and looks like they use DDR3 memory chips with 204 pins instead the one you haev described. Before I buy it would you say that procedure would be the same. I guess it can save me roughly $150 to upgrade it your way 🙂

Luckily I checked before I stuck this memory into my early 2009 mac mini. It requires a DDR3 rather than a DDR2.
