If you follow the steps in the video it will work. You have to restore the iphone not upgrade. Best of luck.

when you say do a restore. Do you mean only if you are already jailbroken. If this is your firt time, do I only upgrade then download the software

Hi,
I have tried this 5 times now and it DOES NOT WORK on my iPhone 3G freshly restored with OS 3.1.2.
Blackra1n goes into ‘entering recovery’ and just stays there – nothing happens – ever…
You then have to restore the phone again to get it back to work as it will not answer at ll or even be recognised by the PC unless you re-restore.
Any clues??

Make sure you’ve updated your OS to 3.1.2. and you restored your phone to factory settings.
It didn’t work first time, so I switched the phone into Airplane mode and closed all other itunes applications…that might have done the trick.

My iphone 3g keeps going into recovery mode then that where it stops. It freezes and nothing more happpens. i’ve followed everystep as intsructed. Why is this and canyou help please.

Hi, I am trying to jailbreak my iphone 3g. I just restored a bunch of times after about 10 failures, it keeps going into recovery mode. I am using Vista….. I have OS 3.1.2 on it. Is there some kind of trick or something you have to turn on or off if you are using Vista??? If anyone knows anything about this then PLEASE let me know. THANX A LOT!!

My ipod device 1G is our important iPod, Personal digital assistant and a bit more, and even has also been day that I bought it. It continues to run the most current iPod system software, and any app I need to have it to run. I’m using it to leave this comment right this moment. Iwould say it can be a lot more than basically an “excellent hobbyist system” — it can be an wonderful iPod
