Are you looking for a great laptop that won’t break your budget. Well I have one I can recommend you. It is the Gateway NV5214u which comes fully loaded and includes one of my favorites things on a laptop and that is an HDMI port. This laptop goes anywhere from $449 to $549. Check out the video below where I will show you all the features on it. Also below are the technical specs for the machine and where you can get it.

One thing I wanted to mention is that if you can’t find it because the store is out of stock, than wait until October 22nd which is when Windows 7 launches. Stores are holding out on putting out inventory since they want to put out the laptops with Windows 7 preinstalled and not vista. Come October 22nd all laptops or computers sold at retail stores will most likely have Windows 7 and Vista will be a thing of the past.

If you are looking for a great all in one device then check out this new printer from Epson. It is the workforce 600 All-in-One printer which boast that it is actually a 5 in 1 device with WiFi, Print, Copy, Scan, Photo, and Fax features.

This Epson workforce can print up to 38 ppm in black and color and it also does double sided printing. An extra high capacity black is available so you can print many letters without running out of ink.

After trying this printer I can tell you that it works flawlessly and the 30 page document feeder on top is great for scanning multiple pages. The Epson workforce 600 cost anywhere from $149.99 to $199.99. Check out the new Asus Eeepc 1005HA which replaced the Eeepc 1000HE. The onboard features are pretty much the same in both models. It has a 1.6GHz intel atom processor, 160GB SATA 2.5 5400RPM Drive, and 1GB of ram. Also both units have a 10” screen. The older model came with a 6 Cell battery which gave you about 5hrs of usage where as the new 1005HA comes with a 3 Cell battery giving you about 2hrs of usage.

The new Eeepc 1005HA is lighter and somewhat slimmer than its older model. They also did away with the Chiclet keyboard and changed a few things on it. One of the features that does stand out in the new model is the ability to pinch in and out like the iphone in web pages, photos, and even adobe acrobat reader. This LiteOn Slim DVD Writer is a great addition to any netbook since none of them currently come with a CDROM Drive. This unit is completely powered by a USB port so there is only one cable to carry around. It comes with a 110V adapter which you only need if you have an older USB port that cannot power the device correctly. It has a nice piano finish and onboard is Lightscribe technology which allows you to burn labels directly to Lightscribe DVD CDs.

The Asus Eeepc 900HD has now taken netbooks to new levels with its 160GB Hard Drive and with a price tag of about $249 it just makes this a great netbook. I have tried the HP Netbook, and the Acer Netbook and the Asus wins above those 2. I would recommend to go to your nearest electronic store and check them out so you can compare.

 

The 900HD differs from the 900 because it has now a 160GB 2.5 sata drive. The only thing that I can say negative about this netbook is that after a long period of usage it gets pretty warm since the hard drive generates alot of heat. This happens across the board with all netbooks I tried that had a hard drive inside of them.

The netbook is very portable and light weight. The extended battery does stick out some what but it is awesome if you are on the go and need juice to last all day.
