It’s finally here. You can now Jailbreak your iphone 4s and iPad 2 with iOS 5.0.1 Untethered. This is an awesome release for all of you that have been waiting for a Jailbreak release. The Application is named Absinthe.

I would like to take a moment to thank them for creating this video to help everyone out there and most importantly I would like to thank all the people that worked hard to bring the community this jailbreak.

Below is a small video that will show you step by step how to do this and also below are the links to Macroplant which is the company that makes iPhone Explorer. They also make other applications for your iDevices.

If you are looking to Jailbreak version 4.3.1 on your iphone and ipad than the wait is over. Thanks to the new version of Redsn0w 0.9.6rc9. It works for Windows and the Mac. Below are the links to download and also to the redsn0w hope page where there is even more information. 

By the way, if you bought yourself one of those new shiny iPad2 than the jailbreak is not for you. Currently there is no jailbreak for the ipad2.

If you need to download the firmware for your device check the website below which will allow you to search for the firmware that goes with your device. If the website is down, then just do a google search, you will be able to find it easily.

Since the release of Limera1n from Geohot to jailbreak your iphone running 4.1. Greenpois0n from the Chronic Dev team has been released. The Greenpois0n program uses the same exploit Limera1n is using. The Chronic dev team has shelved the SHAtter exploit originally planned to be released, they have saved it for future use.

The advantage of Greenpois0n is that it is available for Windows, and linux. Below are the links to the download and their website.

The Chronic dev team also announced that apple TV jailbreak is coming as well as the greenpois0n version for the Mac.
