Iphone Wallpapers Resized and Ready
December 28, 2008
Usually when you are looking for a wallpaper for your iphone you find that most of them need to be resized and some of them cut off the parts you want or do not look correct. I made 50 wallpapers for the iphone that I wanted to share with all of you. They are resized so when you save them they will fit the screen correctly. Below are the instructions you will need to use the images.
One last thing I wanted to mention is that if your iphone is Jailbroken, and you have Winterboard installed from Cydia. Then you can turn on “User Lock Background” and “User Wallpaper” so that the images will appear not only on your lock screen but as the background when you see all the icons. If your iphone is not jailbroken then the images will only appear on the lock screen. Hope you enjoy the images.
In order to use the images simply open your iphone to this page and click on the image, when the image appears in a another page by itself it will then appear as a small image to the left, it is now at full size. Put your finger on it and hold it down until the iphone ask you if you want to save the image. The image will then be saved to your camera roll where you can use it as a wallpaper or when you sync with your computer it will also be added to your pictures that you currently have in your library of images for your iphone.
You can also save these images to your computer and put them in a folder that will sync to your iphone. When you sync the iphone with your computer then the images will appear in your library so you can use them as wallpaper.
Iphone: Click To Play Video
This will only work with versions 2.1 or 2.2 on the iphone.
Open .dat Files easily
December 24, 2008
If you have received an e-mail with an attachment winmail.dat or any .dat extension, you probably have not been able to open it since windows does not know what program to use with this extension.
I found this great little free utility that will read .dat files and show you what are the attachments in them. You see .dat files can contain videos, pictures, word documents, and many other types of attachments. Below I put the link so you can download the winmail utility that will help you with this problem.
CLICK TO DOWNLOAD: http://www.mediafire.com/file/mmezyyymlmi/winmail_opener.exe
Winmail Opener is a small and simple utility that allows you to view and extract contents of TNEF-encoded messages (infamous winmail.dat). That means if you receive winmail.dat on your e-mail, with Winmail Opener you can view the rich text message contents and attachments embedded into this file.
You may receive winmail.dat files from the senders who are using Microsoft Outlook (97, 2000). Winmail.dat contains all attachments and rich text message, and not all e-mail clients can recognize its format. Winmail Opener is the solution.
Winmail Opener features
- Winmail Opener is absolutely free - no nag screens, no ads, no spyware, no time limit.
- Supports RTF message text extraction.
- You can drag-and-drop TNEF-encoded files into Winmail Opener for opening them.
- You can drag-and-drop decoded attachments from Winmail Opener to any location for saving them.
- Allows to operate with embedded attachments via standard system popup menu (Open, Open with, Copy, etc.)
- Supports command line mode for batch decoding.
- Multilingual interface.
- The executable has small size and low system requirements.
Put an MSN Messenger Button on Your Website
November 29, 2008
One neat feature included with the MSN Messenger Live, is that you can add a button on your website like the one below. Follow the instructions and you will be able to put one on your site in no time.
The button can activate a chat window like this one, this is a great feature because it will allow your business to add for free a chat button to provide customer support to your clients. This will also work for your personal site or blog.
It is a simple process, the only thing is that to get to it is kind of tricky. Below are the steps you will need to get this and put it on your website or blog.
First you need to install the MSN Messenger on your computer, you can go to http://get.live.com/messenger/overview to download it.
Second, you will need to install it and configure an account to use with the MSN Messenger. If you would like to create an account and use your personal or company e-mail as the user ID instead of a hotmail account then use the following link CLICK HERE.
Third, once you are logged into your messenger we are ready to go and create the button. Click on the following link http://settings.messenger.live.com/Applications/CreateHtml.aspx
You will see a page that will give you options to choose an IM Windows, Button, or Status icon. To create the button you will need to choose the Button box. Below that it will show you an HTML code that you will need to copy and paste it into your website or blog.
Now when you are logged in your customers will see the icon lit up and they can click on it and start a real time chat with you. This is great for support on a website or for status on orders for your clients.

The dev team has just updated their post with the following note:
NOTE: ‘Simple Mode’ in PwnageTool currently only works for the iPod Touch. To use PwnageTool for iPhones you will need to use ‘Expert mode’. This is a workaround while we make an update and fix this issue. In order to do this you will need to navigate to the ‘General’ window and change two things: Deselect ‘activate’ ONLY if you are normally able to activate through iTunes (but if you wish to ‘hacktivate’ the iPhone using PwnageTool then leave it selected). You will also need to change the partition size to about 1000MB (type in the value or use the slider).
‘Hactivate’ means to activate the iPhone yourself without Apple. This is used if you live outside an officially supported region and cannot activate the phone using iTunes.
