Save Time & Money with the iPhone
The iphone has become one of the phones to beat and with 15,000 + applications for the device there is bound to be one that will help you make something easier in your day. In the video below I will show you a nice little free program named Around Me. This program has great features to help you find what you need when you need it.
No more driving around aimlessly trying to find the nearest store or gas station in your area. There is also another program I will mention which is Gas Buddy and this program will help you find not only the nearest gas station but it will show the price at the pump in that gas station. It also has a great beautiful interface. Gas Buddy is $2.99, Oil and Gas is Free, and Around Me is also Free.
I was not able to find links that will activate itunes directly to find the programs. Below are their names, just open your itunes program and on the search bar on the top right put the name of the programs as they appear below. You can also do this on your iphone by going to the app store.
AROUNDME
GASBUDDY
OIL AND GAS
iPhone Full Resolution Photos
Something missing on the iphone is to allow you to send your photos in the original resolution they where taken. Now you can, thanks to a small little program name Send Photos which you can find on the iTunes App Store for only $0.99. In the video below I will show you the steps you need to configure this program correctly since you will need to change the port the program uses.
I recommend for a hassle free installation and configuration to get a Google G-MAIL account which is free and you can signup for it by clicking on the link below. If you already have an account then you are ready to go.

Windows7 or Vista Redesigned?
The new Windows7 operating system beta is out and below I put together a video to show you some of the new features and how Windows7 looks like what Vista should have been. Below are also the links so you can download the 32bit version or 64bit version of Windows7 that you can try and activate with a key until August 1,2009.
Microsoft with this release shows how it has tweaked settings and made some changes so that the overall Windows experience is what customers expected since many enterprise companies have not made the move to Vista, most of them sticking to XP for many reasons. With this release things might change.
In order to download Windows7 you do need to have Windows Live ID. Don’t worry if you do not have one, you can create one quickly to get started when you click on the links. The download is large since it is 2.43 Gigabytes. It is downloaded as an ISO file which you can easily burn onto a DVD. If you do not have a software that will burn ISO files than I suggest some of the following programs. ROXIO, NERO, MAGIC ISO. One last thing is Microsoft currently will close the beta download on February 10.
Minimum recommended specs:
-
1 GHz 32-bit or 64-bit processor
-
1 GB of system memory
-
16 GB of available disk space
-
Support for DirectX 9 graphics with 128 MB memory (to enable the Aero theme)
-
DVD-R/W Drive
-
Internet access (to download the Beta and get updates)

Below are the download links. Windows 7 Beta is available for a limited time, to the first 2.5 million people who download the software.

64 BIT VERSION CLICK TO DOWNLOAD
NOTE: in the video I mention that in Windows 7 the “Switch between windows” option is not visible. I found this great link with a tutorial that will show you how to turn on that feature http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/2694-switch-between-windows-flip-3d-shortcut.html

Save Live Installer Offline Files
With Windows Live Installer you get a bunch of cool applications like the Live Photo gallery, Live Messenger, Live Mail, and Live Writer which is my favorite for editing blogs. The problem with this installation is that it takes a long time and it sometimes hangs and does not go anywhere. This can be time consuming and frustrating.
Once you do the installation the software doesn’t put the files it downloaded in a convenient place for reinstallation or to install it on another machine, instead it hides the files in a folder and names them with a long senseless name so that you will never find it.
This is very inconvenient because if you want to install any of the applications on another computer, you will need to run the Live Installer again and go through the whole process. In the video below I will show you where those files are hidden, how to get them and also below I put what each of those senseless names really mean, this way you can identify the applications and save them individually for later installation. This will definitely save you time if you are installing them over a network, since you will have the offline installer for each of these programs.
What each of those senseless names mean:
LIVE MAIL: Install_{184E7118-0295-43C4-B72C-1D54AA75AAF7}.msi
LIVE WRITER: Install_{9176251A-4CC1-4DDB-B343-B487195EB397}.msi
