Save Live Installer Offline Files
October 30, 2008
With Windows Live Installer you get a bunch of cool applications like the Live Photo gallery, Live Messenger, Live Mail, and Live Writer which is my favorite for editing blogs. The problem with this installation is that it takes a long time and it sometimes hangs and does not go anywhere. This can be time consuming and frustrating.
Once you do the installation the software doesn’t put the files it downloaded in a convenient place for reinstallation or to install it on another machine, instead it hides the files in a folder and names them with a long senseless name so that you will never find it.
This is very inconvenient because if you want to install any of the applications on another computer, you will need to run the Live Installer again and go through the whole process. In the video below I will show you where those files are hidden, how to get them and also below I put what each of those senseless names really mean, this way you can identify the applications and save them individually for later installation. This will definitely save you time if you are installing them over a network, since you will have the offline installer for each of these programs.
What each of those senseless names mean:
LIVE MAIL: Install_{184E7118-0295-43C4-B72C-1D54AA75AAF7}.msi
LIVE WRITER: Install_{9176251A-4CC1-4DDB-B343-B487195EB397}.msi
LIVE TOOLBAR: Install_{D5A145FC-D00C-4F1A-9119-EB4D9D659750}.msi
LIVE MESSENGER: Install_{508CE775-4BA4-4748-82DF-FE28DA9F03B0}.msi
LIVE TOOLBAR: Install_{D5A145FC-D00C-4F1A-9119-EB4D9D659750}.msi
LIVE PHOTO GALLERY: Install_{257E440F-781F-459B-9A68-A0872B80C1D6}.msi
LIVE SIGN IN ASSISTANT: Install_{AFA4E5FD-ED70-4D92-99D0-162FD56DC986}.msi

Dell Studio 15 Nice Laptop
October 21, 2008

I was able to review this Dell laptop Studio 15 which is very nice. Check out the video below where I will show you all the features on this laptop. I also have added below all the drivers in a ZIP file so that you can downgrade the computer from Windows Vista 64bit to Windows XP 32bit.
You can purchase this laptop straight from the DELL WEBSITE or BEST BUY
One of my viewers on youtube was a great help by letting me know that the button on the side that I mention in the video, next to the wireless is actually a wifi button where a menu pops up and shows all of the wireless routers near but he mentioned it might not work with windows xp. Also he mentioned that the battery that sticks out is only for the 9 CELL battery, the 6 CELL battery is flat and does not stick out. I want to thank “SUPERUDE24” on Youtube for your contribution.
The right color for you!. Along with the nice design and quality of this laptop, you also have many colors to choose from. This is great especially if you are getting 2 or more for you home or office. This can help you quickly identify who it belongs to.
TECHNICAL SPECS:

In the traditional Dell style, this laptop is not one size fits all. You can go on the website and customize the laptop there and get more of what you need on this unit. If you buy it at a Best Buy for example, it will already have a standard configuration which is can go from $749 to $849 depending on the features. Some of the features included with this model are listed below.
- Windows Vista Premium 64bit
- Intel Core 2 Duo

Where is the iPhone or iPod firmware stored
October 9, 2008
Wondering where iTunes stores the iPhone and iPod firmware once it is downloaded. Below is the path for Windows XP and Windows Vista.
This way all you have to do is save it just in case you need to restore the device manually.
By the way if you put the device in restore mode and want to manually point iTunes to the firmware of your choice, simply open itunes, then press and hold down the shift key and press the restore button, this will bring up a window that will allow you to choose where the firmware is located.
Windows XP Path:
C:\Documents and Settings\Your User Name Here\Application Data\Apple Computer\iTunes\iPhone Software Updates\
Windows Vista Path:
C:\Users\Your User Name Here\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\iTunes\iPhone Software Updates
